Elena has dedicated her career to finding technological answers to the world ' s problems . At first , that meant putting in place financial and supply chain management solutions to assist clients in streamlining and automating corporate procedures . She switched to sustainability strategy 15 years ago , after earning a degree in International and Public Affairs from Columbia University .

Currently at Oracle , Elena is engaging with customers and partners to share best practices and understand the challenges faced by business leaders in making progress on their sustainability and ESG ambitions .

Emma brings to corporate sustainability a rare combination of domain expertise , strategy , and inventive movement .

Prior to Netflix , she founded the R & D department at the Business for Social Responsibility , taught ‘ Intrapreneurship for Sustainability ’ at UC Berkeley and Stanford University , worked as Director at the World Resources Institute , was Head of Sustainability Solutions at Autodesk , and co-authored the first corporate climate target .

Emma was named a ‘ Badass Woman in Sustainability ’ by GreenBiz , a ‘ top 3 speaker ’ by The Economist Summits , FORTUNE Magazine ' s ‘ 1 of the most powerful women under 45 ’, and an ‘ urban pioneer & sustainability insurgent ’ by MIT Sloan Management Review .
