French business leader Bernard began his career as an engineer with the Ferret-Savinel construction company and was promoted through the company to become Chairman in 1978. In 1984, he left the company to reorganise the Financière Agache holding company, and in the process he reinvigorated Christian Dior. In 1989, he became the majority shareholder of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton, creating the world’ s leading luxury products group, of which he has been CEO and Chairman ever since.
