As the founding Chief Executive of the UK ’ s Climate Change Committee , David is certainly qualified to lead perhaps the world ’ s most influential sustainability organisation , the Science Based Targets initiative ( SBTi ).

Lahiru joined easyJet in 2019 after working across the aviation industry at British Airways and Virgin Atlantic . He joined the company as a Senior Strategy Manager before moving into sustainability in 2022 .

He has spent three years building easyJet ’ s net zero roadmap and is now taking the mantle as Director of Sustainability .
