Melanie has an impressive CV, having started working life as a lawyer. She worked for the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee and US Department of State. In 2021-22, Melanie was Special Assistant to President Biden and Senior Director for Climate and Energy. She joined Microsoft as CSO in January 2023.
