THE SUSTAINABILITY INTERVIEW
Water runs through every part of Culligan International’ s identity. For ninety years, the Illinois-based water company has been delivering cleaner, safer water. From homes and offices, to public spaces and commercial needs, their products and services transform water so it always feels clean and soft – and tastes great. But for Christina Beckman, Director of Environmental, Social and Governance( ESG), Culligan’ s responsibility runs far deeper than what flows from its solutions.
As Christina describes it, sustainability is“ in Culligan’ s DNA,” embedded not just in what the business sells but in how it operates, reports and leads.“ Our solutions are in direct comparison to single-use plastic water bottles,” she explains.“ When you choose a Culligan solution, you’ re choosing not to pick up that plastic bottle. we really see sustainability as in our DNA.”
Christina oversees Culligan’ s global ESG strategy – a role that blends regulatory rigour with cultural change.“ My role is guiding, optimising, operationalising and reporting,” she says.“ We translate the big, complex ESG picture into something people across the business can understand and act on.”
That clarity of vision is pushing Culligan to become more than a water company. With deep water expertise and innovative technology, Culligan now enables customers and consumers to make measurable progress in reducing their environmental footprints.
