COP28 also introduced the first Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum with CEOs and philanthropists from more than 80 countries congregating for the session . Not only does this encourage further collaboration between businesses , it allows partnerships to blossom as they align their views on the planet and its people .
Claiming to be the most inclusive COP yet , last year ’ s conference also included a youth delegate programme , a pavilion for indigenous people , and higher numbers of regional and local leaders .
THE COP28 UAE DECLARATION ON CLIMATE AND HEALTH
Not only is this act a major endeavour for the authorities in the UAE , 123 countries endorsed the agreement . Last year ’ s conference was also the first to see health ministers in attendance , marking a changing tide for social conversations alongside the environment .
Further announcements were also made as part of this pact , which is the current and driving force of sustainable change in the business environment – and will continue to be throughout 2024 .
