Acciona says it is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2040 and has an SBTi validated target to reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions 90 % by 2050. The company has offset 100 % of its emissions since 2016 and avoided 13.6 million tons of CO₂ through renewable energy generation. Between 2022 and 2023, it planted more than 350,000 additional trees. Acciona says it is the world’ s largest energy operator dedicated exclusively to renewable energy.
