United Nations Climate Change Conferences( COP) are held each year in the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The Conference of Parties first took place in 1995 in Berlin, Germany and has continued to welcome heads of state each year. It has become a place for global leaders from both business and government to convene.

COP31 is set to be hosted in Turkey with an Australian President of Negotiations. The Pre-COP in 2026 will be hosted in a Pacific island country supported by the Government of Australia, giving attendees an opportunity to see Pacific climate impacts and responses firsthand.
