Its waste management strategy is to become a “ zero waste to landfill business ” by reducing the unnecessary use of raw materials . Simultaneously , Ark aims to encourage re-use of materials and products , and reduce waste to landfill through recycling , composting or energy recovery , leading to a lower environmental impact and positive carbon reductions .
