A global expert in corporate sustainability , Carol is Chair of GRI ’ s Global Sustainability Standards Board , and also Professor of Accounting at Durham University in the UK . Carol began her career with KPMG as a financial auditor , in 1981 , before taking various senior academic roles in the UK and Australia . She is the founding editor and editor-inchief of the Sustainability Accounting , Management & Policy Journal ( SAMPJ ).
