Vacuum distillation, for example, uses reduced pressur to lower the boiling point of alcohol for evaporation. Steam distillation heats a beverage to a point where alcohol evaporates.
What do consumers want from packaging? Surveys by McKinsey carried out in March 2025 show that while quality, price and convenience remain dominant factors influencing purchasing decisions, sustainability has retained a significant, though not leading, position for US consumers. Although environmental concerns now rank behind more immediate needs, many consumers still value recyclability and material reuse when evaluating packaging.
When looking specifically at packaging, consumer concerns are even more pragmatic. Food safety and shelf life top the list, suggesting that reducing waste and managing costs are front of mind.
