11 MILLION + SOAP BARS RECYCLED

Small decisions, when adopted across Hilton’ s portfolio, create massive impact. The digital key feature in the Hilton Honours app saves tonnes of plastic key cards from landfill annually. Bulk amenity pumps reduce single-use plastic waste while improving guest experience and lowering housekeeping costs.
“ When we find those individual measures that we can then scale across the portfolio, it delivers the measurable business value,” Jean says.
The company has already recycled more than 11.6 million soap bars through the industry’ s largest soap recycling programme, diverting more than 3.1 million pounds of waste from landfill.
Jean continues:“ At Hilton’ s scale, one small decision, if adopted everywhere, has that massive impact.”
The Home2 Suites clean energy blueprint In September 2026, Hilton announced the Home2 Suites by Hilton Clean Energy Prototype, an optional, scalable hotel design concept available to owners and developers. The prototype combines all-electric systems, renewable energy and high-efficiency building technologies.
Jean says:“ For the Home2 clean energy prototype, we’ ve developed an optional turnkey version of the Home2 that will lower energy costs, that reduces emissions, that strengthens asset value.”
The design features high-efficiency equipment including air conditioning systems, windows, roofs and insulation. The prototype is all-electric, eliminating fossil fuels and natural gas. Heating uses heat pumps instead of gas boilers.
