Investment firm Man Group takes an innovative approach to building performance, driven by ambitious sustainability commitments
It’ s true what they say: change starts at home. For any major international business – and global investment firm Man Group is up there with the largest – to affect real, measurable sustainable change, it really does pay to get your house in order. For the company, that‘ house’ consists of a global presence and a significant real estate footprint spanning 25 sites across four continents, including its Riverbank House headquarters building in London, home to around 2,000 people.
In recent years, as part of its commitment to sustainability across its operations and investment portfolio, Man Group has focused on making its buildings greener, more sustainable places to work in order to improve its environmental footprint. That includes harnessing technology and innovative partnerships to improve energy efficiency and consumption, embedding ESG tools in its operations and using renewable energy sources at Riverbank House.
This focus is in line with the investment firm’ s wider sustainability ambitions and commitment, set out by President Steven Desmyter in a 2024 strategic report:“ We have a deep-seated culture of responsibility that extends across our firm, and we are committed to running our company sustainably for our clients and stakeholders.”
