The technology giant is embedding sustainability across its global operations and downstream partner network through its 360 Circle initiative, which now counts 850 members across 68 markets.
Leading the way is Global Sustainability Executive Director Virginie Le Barbu, who is shifting the strategy from commitment to measurable impact while helping channel partners monetise their sustainability efforts.

A strategy two decades in the making“ Sustainability is part of our DNA,” Virginie says. The company published its first environmental report in 2007, joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2009 and set its first scientific target in 2011. Lenovo became one of the first companies to work with Science Based Targets initiative( SBTi) on this scientific approach to measuring and reducing emissions. In 2023, Lenovo became the 139th company globally and the first PC manufacturer to have its net-zero target validated by SBTi for achievement by 2050.
In 2018, Lenovo established the Lenovo Foundation to ensure philanthropic activities aligned with the company’ s core mission of smarter technology for all.
