Lenovo will shortly open a factory in Saudi Arabia for exactly the same reason – diversifying localisation across regions.“ The Saudi facility will be the first facility to make everything: smartphones, PCs and infrastructure,” Virginie reveals.
The company is working intensively on the sustainability aspects of all its facilities in the Middle East region.
The Lenovo 360 Circle mission Lenovo launched the 360 Circle in 2021 as part of its broader global channel framework, with 20 founding members who helped shape the initiative through extensive listening and feedback sessions.
“ The idea was to meet partners where they are and make sure that what we put in place is not just for them, but shaped with them,” Virginie says.
At the heart of Lenovo 360 Circle is a mission to accelerate sustainable transformation across Lenovo’ s downstream ecosystem.
“Sustainability, business transformation and innovation are increasingly interconnected”
Virginie Le Barbu Executive Director, Global Sustainability Lenovo
The community helps partners build capabilities, share expertise and address common challenges across areas including circular economy practices, energy efficiency and broader sustainability priorities, with a focus on translating ambition into practical progress and driving greater impact across the technology sector.
A community-driven approach The Lenovo 360 Circle Summit has now run for three years, becoming a key moment in the calendar when the community comes together. Lead members, alongside a growing number of Learn members, gather to reflect on the progress made over the past year, share experiences and consider where they need to focus next.
The event combines learning sessions and plenaries with best practice sharing and collaborative workshops, where participants work together on current challenges and key questions.“ We use those discussions to help shape the agenda for the year ahead, making sure we continue to build on the progress we’ ve made,” Virginie explains.
The initiative has evolved through distinct phases: the first year focused on discovery, the second on implementation, and the third marked the beginning of a new phase of growth.“ We wanted to build a sizable community to make sure that we were having the right impact and the right influence,” Virginie reveals.“ The bigger you are, the more influence you have.”
