At Walmart, Kathleen works on increasing the sustainability of retail and retail supply chains, as well as promoting community resilience. She is also the chair of the Walmart Foundation Board of Directors. She was previously the president of the Walmart Foundation for more than 10 years, helping to advance corporate philanthropy and building initiatives to achieve impact in local communities. She joined Walmart in 2013, after spending more than 20 years with McKinsey & Company, where she led Retail Practice and Organisation Transformation Practice. Her role centres around enhancing the sustainability of food, apparel and goods, while donating food to those in need. Kathleen told Sustainability Magazine:“ Our purpose as a company is to help people save money and live better. That’ s been true for decades – it’ s very simple and sustainability is core to that.”
