Kate leads sustainability across the company’ s global operations, products and supply chains. Since joining Google in 2015, she has worked with data centre, real estate, supply chain and product teams to advance sustainability across the business. Before Google, Kate served as the United States’ first Federal Chief Sustainability Officer, overseeing sustainability across government operations, including 360,000 buildings,

650,000 vehicles and US $ 445bn in annual procurement. She previously held senior roles at the Department of Energy, the White House and the US Navy. Kate also serves on the Board of Trustees of the National Geographic Society and co-chairs the Advisory Board of Overture Ventures. She holds a master’ s degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Cambridge Scholar and graduated with honours from Brown University.
