Rachel joined SSE in 2007 and , as Chief Sustainability Officer , is responsible for its sustainability strategy , climate change policy , community funds , and corporate heritage . She is also a non-Executive Director of the Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks Board . Prior to SSE , Rachel was a member of the Scottish Government ’ s Just Transition Commission and is a member of the Fair Tax Mark Board .

Jyoti oversees human resources , social impact , and sustainability for MGM Resorts International . She is in charge of managing enterprise-wide human and social capital programmes , supervises ESG reporting , and acts as the committee ' s point of contact .

Earlier in her career , Chopra worked as the global head of communications and public relations at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu . She also held the positions of managing director at Merrill Lynch & Co . and chief diversity officer at BNY Mellon .

Currently , she is a member of the diversity advisory board for Toyota Motor NA as well as a diversity and inclusion advisor to the global leadership team of Spencer Stuart .

Prior to SSE , she was Senior Special Adviser to Scotland ’ s First Minister .

She holds a Master of Letters from the University of St . Andrews in International Political Thought and a Bachelor of Science from Abertay University in Economics .
