Sustainable aviation fuel( SAF) is beginning to take flight.
United Airlines is currently the biggest purchaser of SAF, having secured 2.9 billion gallons through offtake agreements and investments, far surpassing other airlines in SAF procurement.
SAF production still requires scaling, but United is invested in its future.

“ Now we need to align the economic incentives to make sustainable aviation the preferred path forward."
