When you meet Bridgette Bell McAdoo, Chief Sustainability Officer at Genesys, it becomes clear that her approach to sustainability is deeply human. Speaking to Sustainability Magazine at Sustainability LIVE: Climate Week NYC, she explains that her mission is about far more than reducing emissions or reporting on ESG targets – it is about integrating empathy into the way business operates.

As Bridgette explains, that mission begins with a clear focus:“ My role is to make sure that our strategy for sustainability is integrated into how we do business at Genesys and to make sure that we can scale in a responsible way.”
She approaches her responsibilities with a blend of strategic precision and emotional intelligence.
“ I have the pleasure of leading a team that works across all of our different functions, across all of our different regions,” she says,“ to ensure that we are using sustainability as a value driver across our business.”
Integrating sustainability as core strategy Bridgette’ s leadership at Genesys – a global leader in cloud-based customer experience technology – is defined by a belief that sustainability should be inseparable from the company’ s operations.
“ I like to think we’ re very different from a lot of other companies,” she says.“ We have integrated sustainability into our business strategy. It’ s not just what we say we’ re doing – it’ s who we are. It’ s an extension of our core values.”
