“Regulations in the next two years will probably impact the next 20”

“ Hydrogen is going in the same direction. What we need is for technologies to be deployed and economies to be created. Already, all of our technologies and power plants are able to use 30 % hydrogen with 70 % natural gas. In the coming 12 months, we will be able to deploy 50 / 50.
“ I think from now to 2030 we are going to see a huge uptick.”
From running a car to a whole power plant, many hydrogen technologies are ready – but this will need regulation in its favour to succeed.
“ Technology is always ahead of regulation. We have hydrogen technologies ready, so we need regulation to enable business and economies of scale,” Javier explains.
“ Everything that we do today will require more electricity tomorrow because we are electrifying.
“ Regulations in the next two years will probably impact the next 20. We need regulation, political stability and business certainty. Changing direction every few years doesn’ t make it happen.”
