ABOUT JOHNSON CONTROLS
Johnson Controls was founded in 1885 as Johnson Electric Service Company.
The business creates intelligent buildings, efficient energy solutions and integrated infrastructure. This includes HVAC, building management and security solutions.
It aims to reach net zero across its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040, with a short-term goal of a 55 % reduction by 2030. It has already achieved a reduction of 48 % and 20 % of its Scope 3 emissions.
In 2024, 23 Johnson Controls manufacturing locations, representing 25 % of its total manufacturing locations, had a 100 % diversion rate and were recognised as zero landfill. A further 10 of its non-manufacturing sites are landfill-free.

She was the Democratic candidate for the 2016 US Senate election in Pennsylvania with endorsements from President Barack Obama and previous Vice President Joe Biden among other figures. It was a tight race, but she ultimately lost the election with a little more than 47 % of votes.
