Before

corporate sustainability , Allyson ’ s career was steeped in science . A geologist by trade , she first applied her knowledge of petrophysics to ExxonMobil , before taking up positions in the US federal government and in universities as a scholar of energy . Since 2019 , Allyson has used her expertise to guide Baker Hughes towards sustainability .

With

a career at Baker McKenzie stretching back more than 25 years , Alyssa has risen through the ranks to become its CSO , a role held since 2020 . She spearheads the firm ’ s sustainability strategy and has been integral to its commitment to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 53.3 % by 2030 .
